Who is Your Local Hero?

One of the frequent events that the love card sponsors is our “Who is Your Local Hero.  Here we ask folks to tell us about someone in their life who is perhaps “unsung” or who is going above and beyond, or is just someone who they would like to send a little extra love to.  We then send out a letter to that person or organization letting them know they were anonymously nominated to receive our TLC Local Hero Award.  And then the letter is filled with Love Cards and a personal note letting them know that they were anonymously nominated to receive this award. Who is YOUR local Hero? Perhaps you’d like to tell us about them so we can send them a package.

The Love Card sends packages of Love Cards to schools for many different projects and needs. To date over 50,000 free Love Cards have been given to schools across the nation. Sometimes a local merchant will ask for cards to be sent to a local school with love from them.

Recently a high school in Iowa had all the senior girls give all the freshman girls a love card during their first week of school. So powerful. There have been many other programs where enough cards are given for every student and faculty member.  Beautiful heart felt projects of all kinds revolving around schools and teachers and staff have been ignited by The Love Cards. Send Love to a fellow student you don’t know day is another one. The opportunities are endless.
